Hi, I’m Mitchell Carlos Rivera, a visual artist, graphic designer, and illustrator based in New York.

Originally from Long Island, my passion for art began in childhood. Heavily influenced by comic industry legends like Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, and John Byrne, I spent my early years refining my drawing skills with the dream of building a lifelong creative career.

I initially balanced this artistic drive with a strong foundation in business, earning my degree in Business Management from Stony Brook University, where I made the Dean's List and received the Phoenix Award. During that time, I also taught myself the fundamentals of web design to stay versatile in a changing digital landscape.

Even while navigating significant personal losses and major health challenges in the years that followed, my dedication to my craft never wavered. I relentlessly continued to expand my formal education and artistic abilities. Recently, I completed the coursework equivalent of a minor in Graphic Design and am currently just three credits shy of earning a second Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art (maintaining a 3.925 GPA).

Today, my primary focus is on high-end visual art, branding, and multimedia production. While I do have experience in front-end development—and have successfully taken on custom-coded web projects in the past—my true expertise lies in the creative side of production. My proficiencies include:

• Design & Illustration: Expert in corporate branding, logo design, mascot creation, and original comic illustration using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fresco, Dimension) and Clip Studio Paint.
• Audio & Multimedia: Certified in audio technology and music production, allowing me to produce digital media and advertising banners with original scores.
• Web & Front-End: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS (Grid, Flexbox), JavaScript, and Bootstrap to support and navigate digital design needs.
